The Sad Album brings together Laura Bowler (UK) with lovemusic collective (FR) for concerts at Musica festival (FR) and New Music Dublin festival. Both devastating in its raw honesty and ludicrous in its playfulness, this newly commissioned hour-long work takes us on a journey through the undulating and unpredictable landscape of grief.
I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with lovemusic, who, in addition to their unwavering commitment to creative music, demonstrate extraordinary standards and quality. These young musicians enable the emergence of works requiring collaboration, dialogue and musical excellence. I am very happy with the project we’ve been able to implement and the work we’ve done together.
